They’re oldies, but they’re goodies!

I had an absolute field day when our youngest baby was born – not only did I have my own newborn to photograph, but he was cute and obliging as well!! I thought I’d share some of the photographs I took of him as a new baby. He’s now just over 4 months old, but they’re still some of my favourites.

Hi, and welcome to my blog!

I’m Karen, an Adelaide Hills based photographer. I specialise in pregnancy, newborn, children and family photography. I love to create fun, natural portraits which are truly representative of the people I’m photographing.

This blog is the place that I can provide ‘sneak peeks’ of my recent client work along with showcasing some of my personal photography of my family and friends, or provide information about any special offers or competitions I might be offering at the time.

Please feel free to check out my website (www.karenpfeiffer.com.au) for pricing, session details, or my galleries of work. You can also contact me on 0409 121 079.

Enjoy!

I was so blessed to be able to travel all the way to Melbourne for this newborn shoot. I enjoyed photographing her so much – she is such a special little darling. After 4 long years, my dear friends welcomed Miss Charlotte into the world. I spent a few days photographing this little Princess and her parents.

Just a few of my faves to share…welcome to the world, Miss Charlotte. It’s so nice to meet you at last! x

Firstly, the “Charlotte Bump”

BELLS2

I recently had the pleasure of photographing two absolutely beautiful little boys in Sydney. My dear friends welcomed their second baby boy into the world at the end of July, and I was so happy to be able to capture some special memories for them. I have to say, this little family is so beautiful. So loving and patient with each other, and the type of family I love to not only photograph, but to be around in general.

T and J (and boys!!) thank you so much for having William and I – I can’t wait to come back, but next time with my other two boys in tow as well x

Earlier in August I was lucky enough to spend a weekend with an incredibly amazing photographer, Andrea Joki (www.ajatonjoki.com). Her work is very inspirational to me and I was so excited not only to be meeting her, but also to work with her for two days. We worked in Port Adelaide for the first day, and then found a field to photograph the children in on the second day (in the Northern Suburbs).

I learned SO much. I tried off camera flash (OCF) for the very first time, and was blown away by what we came up with! We also worked in natural lighting too, and had a blast. It was a great weekend full of learning and spending time with some other very talented Adelaide photographers as well. It was a hoot!

Just a few to share from the weekend. The first is one of my absolute favourite photographs I’ve ever taken – everything about it makes me smile. This one is purely natural lighting, but the rest were taken with OCF.

Miss E, twirling for us!
